Justin Morneau Returns To All-Star Form

Philadelphia Phillies v Colorado Rockies

Just as many expected, Justin Morneau is reviving his career with Coors Field. I mean, the Rockies.

After missing the majority of the 2010 and 2011 seasons with concussion symptoms, Morneau has not been able to get back to his previous all-star form.

Before the 2014 season, Morneau had hit just .255 with 40 HR’s and 184 RBI’s in 355 games since returning from the injury.

Not to mention, he didn’t hit a single longball in 25 games after being traded to the Pirates last season.

This season, however, he is back on track.

In 42 games thus far this season, Morneau is hitting .327 with 9 HR’s and 32 RBI’s along with a .585 SLG% (good for 7th in baseball).

It looks like the Rockies made another smart investment, just as they had with Morneau’s old teammate, Michael Cuddyer a couple of offseasons ago before he went on to win the batting title in the National League last season.

Welcome back, Justin, baseball has missed you.
