USF Football Coach Arrested for DUI

A USF Bulls’ defensive line coach was arrested over the weekend for driving under the influence. According to the Tampa Bay Times, Eric Mathies was arrested Saturday morning and he was charged after a traffic stop when he refused to take a breathalyzer test.

The traffic stop happened at around 3:40 a.m. Sunday morning.

Mathies has been an assistant coach since 2013. College Football Talk points out that Mathies led his defense to being ranked 12th in the FBS.
