Lelo Prado Previews USF 2014 Baseball Season

USF Head Baseball Coach Lelo Prado talks to Eric Lopez  about the upcoming 2014 USF Baseball season.

Why You Should Listen :  Coach Prado discusses playing in the new AAC Conference and the advantages it brings to the program.  Prado also talks about now playing UCF in a conference series  starting this season as supposed to playing them in a midweek non conference series. Prado talks about his pitching staff which will be led by Sophomore  Jimmy Herget who was an All-American All-Freshman member last season.  Prado talks about some of the key pitchers development including Michael Clarkson, Casey Muholland and more.USF_Baseball

Prado also talk about replacing veteran leaders on offense including Jimmy Falla and James Ramsey.  Who will need to step up on offense and what is the outlook of the offense this season which will be led by infielder Nik Alfonso who made  Preseason All-Conference AAC.  Prado gives the keys to the team being succesful this season and what he would change if he was in charge of College Baseball.

The Bulls finished the 2013 season with 36-23 record will  open the  2014 season at home against Maryland Eastern-Shore on February 14th. Other notable dates on schedule include mid-week home games against Jameis Winston and the Florida State Seminoles on March 4 and 5. The Bulls conference season begins at home against UConn on weekend of March 21-23,  USF host the UCF Knights on the weekend of April 4-6 and also will welcome Louisville to Tampa on weekend of May 2-4.  Notable road dates include games at Florida on May 13th  and a weekend trip to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech to end the regular season.
