UCF first-year center Joey Grant will face his biggest challenge of the season on Saturday night when the Knights head to Happy Valley to take on Penn State.
The former defensive lineman will be playing just his third game as the core of the offensive line, and he will be lined up across from a player considered the Nittany Lions’ top defensive lineman: senior tackle DaQuan Jones.
“They’re a very good team up front,” Grant said. “They hold the point very well and we’re going to have to do what we do every week and come out and play physical as well and try to get some movement off the ball.”
The 6-foot-2, 285-pound Grant will also be dealing with the crowd noise at Penn State, an adjustment from his time on the defensive side of the ball.
