UCF Travels To No. 22 Memphis Tonight

UCF will face Memphis tonight on the road with a chance to narrow the gap at the top of Conference USA.

UCF is banned from postseason play due to NCAA sanctions but hope to win the regular season title in their last season in the conference before jumping to the Big East next season.

With just eight games left, this game has the feel of a playoff-type atmosphere as the Knights (17-6, 7-2 C-USA) are two games behind Memphis (20-3, 9-0 C-USA) in the conference standings.

But that is one tough task, as No. 22 Memphis is riding a 10-game win streak.

“They force you to play fast and they are going to force you to take tough shots,” head coach Donnie Jones said. “We’re going to have to play with composer, make sure we play at the right tempo for us.”

Memphis leads the series 12-1 all time. UCF has never won in Memphis.

Tip-off is tonight in Memphis at the FedEx Forum at 8 p.m. and will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network.
