The Oakland Raiders selected UCF running back Latavius Murray in the sixth round of the NFL Draft Saturday, No. 181 overall. He becomes the first UCF player to be drafted.
Murray will have the opportunity to compete for the backup running back job behind former first-round pick Darren McFadden. The other backs on Oakland’s roster are former Jaguars back Reshad Jennings and Jeremey Stewart.
Another former Knight in the Bay Area was excited about the pick.
