Mitchell was detained by UCF police and accused of driving with a blood-alcohol level 0.15 or higher. He faces a first-degree misdemeanor charge.
He was suspended for the Knights’ game Sept. 14 at Penn State.
A UCF spokesman said late Tuesday that Mitchell was also suspended for the Knights’ game against No. 12 South Carolina on Saturday.
