ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Central Florida and Tulsa are very familiar with each other, having met twice in the Conference USA championship game since 2005.
Thursday night the pair matches up again, each trying to make their push to get back there.
The Golden Hurricane (5-3, 4-0 C-USA) are winners of four straight following a rocky 1-3 start to the season that included setbacks to four Top 10-ranked teams. The Knights (4-4, 2-2) are hoping they are finally back on solid ground after snapping a two-game losing streak last week against Memphis.
Tulsa boasts an offense that in four conference games has scored over 30 points and has an average winning margin of 23.5 points. UCF’s defense remains the best in the league giving up just 245 yards per game.
