Insider: UCF Comes Up Empty in Loss to Missouri

Despite  controlling most of the game, sacking Missouri Quarterback James Franklin  five times  and  having a  huge advantage in total yards and  time of possession in the first half, UCF struggled in the 2nd half  and lost to Missouri 21-16  in front of 35, 835 at Bright House Networks Stadium.

Miscues on defense and special teams unraveled  for  the Knights  who sputtered on offense down the stretch in their bid to defeat their first Southeastern Conference opponent at home.

The Tiger’s Marcus Murphy returned a punt 66 yards for a touchdown in the second half  that gave Missouri  the lead  they would not lose again. Franklin was efficient, going 19 for 30 for 257 yards.

Kendial Lawrence added 104 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Tigers.  It is another frustrating  loss for Knight fans  who  been on this road before against schools from a BCS Conference.

Here are Post-game Reactions  following the Knights loss.
