According to the Tampa Bay Business Journal, the tournament is to be played in Nashville for the next decade, aside from the 2018 game in St. Louis.
The last time Tampa hosted this event was in 2009.
SEC Commissioner Mike Slive told the Associated Press that he expects big crowds here in 2022. According to him, 2009 wasn’t the best year for the tournament to be in Florida because the Gators and Kentucky had fallen out before the championship.
