No. 7 Recruit Commits To Texas A&M

Bama_TexasAM_2013ARLINGTON, Texas — ESPN 300 DE Myles Garrett (Arlington, Texas/Martin), the nation’s No. 7 player, announced his commitment to Texas A&M on Friday.

Garrett chose the Aggies over Alabama, Ohio State, TCU and Florida State because he sees himself as a missing piece to Kevin Sumlin’s squad.

“[The Aggies] are definitely going up [in the SEC],” said the 6-foot-5, 247-pound Garrett. “Right now they are lacking some pass rush. That’s all they really need to complete their team.”

He should get a warm welcome when he goes to College Station on Saturday when his sister, Brea Garrett, is going to be honored as part of the Aggies’ track and field team during Texas A&M’s game against Auburn. Garrett’s commitment was so important to the A&M coaching staff that it spared no expense to impress him.
