Alabama head coach Nick Saban has officially become even more rich than he was last year.
According to College Football Talk, Alabama’s Board of Trustees approved a contract for Saban that includes an extension and a raise. He will be coach of the Crimson Tide through 2022.
Saban will be paid about $6.5 million per year and he will receive an extra $400,000 for “completion fees.”
That’s quite an upgrade. Last year, he only made $5.6 million. Now, he’s the highest-paid college football coach, just above Mack Brown, before he left Texas.
When his contract ends, Saban will be 70 years old.
