When Chad Kelly was kicked off the Clemson squad for misbehaving, coach Dabo Swinney had no idea where the immature quarterback would end up.
Now it seems he may try to restart his FBS career with a friendly rival.
According to 247Sports.com, the former Tigers’ quarterback visited Alabama over the weekend. The Tide recruited Kelly coming out of high school in New York, before he chose to sign with the Tigers.
Kelly was benched after a couple of interceptions during the spring game and argued with assistant coaches. This argument became grounds for Swinney to give Kelly the boot.
Kelly had been part of the QB competition to replace starter Tajh Boyd who left for the NFL and now he may be a part of another competition, wearing completely different colors.
