College recruiting is getting creative. If a team wants a player, they find any avenue they can to get him.
According to the Houston Chronicle, Rice scored a commitment from J.T. Granato with a letter to the quarterback’s cat.
The letter, from co-offensive coordinator Billy Lynch, said:
“As you know we’re trying to convince J.T. Rice is the place for him. I know you’d like to keep him close so he can feed you and change the litter box. Please help us to get him to choose us. Paw me if you have any questions.”
Granato also had an offers from other schools but apparently his cat makes the tough decisions in the household.
