TALLAHASSEE – Florida State’s offense took just 13 minutes to score 35 points last Saturday.

By the time Jameis Winston’s day was done — early in the third quarter — he had thrown for 292 yards and three touchdowns and the Seminoles were up 42-0.

“We ended kind of flat and that was my fault,” Winston said. “Obviously, because I’ve got to keep the intensity going and the first quarter was so fast, first quarter was so exciting that me, as a player, I’ve got to get to the point that’s like ‘guys, don’t let their mistakes make us … play down to their level — let’s play Florida State football and keep things going.’ ”
