With the start of ACC Media Days comes attention and most of that attention has already been on Florida State Seminoles quarterback Jameis Winston. With the media pressing him on big issues, Winston has seemingly responded in a surprisingly mature manner.
According to Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports, when asked about being paid as a student-athlete, Winston said that he doesn’t want it, nor does he expect it.
Jameis Winston asked abt college athletes being paid: “We’re blessed to get a free education.. And that’s enough for me.” #fsu

Many people have criticized Winston for all of the immature things that he’s done but according to this quote, he seems to have matured a little during the offseason.
Not many student-athletes have the same point of view that he does, in fact most football players would prefer to be paid as if they were an employee of the university, but we won’t get into that.
Hopefully Winston’s maturity will continue to flourish as the Seminoles count down to the start of what is expected to be another successful season.
