Top Recruit Ditches Florida for FSU

It may be a new year, but not much is changing for the Gators as they look to improve their disappointing season. The No. 20 player in the ESPN 300 is running back Dalvin Cook who has decided to switch his commitment from Florida to Florida State.

Cook is a 5’11, 196-pound athlete from Miami/Central who originally committed to Clemson. He then changed his mind and decided in April that he would play for the Gators. Now, he has changed his decision yet again. This time, he’s decided to move to Tallahassee.

Cook will enroll at Florida State and make his move very soon. His commitment marks the 27th verbal pledge for the 2014 class for the Seminoles. Besides him, there are 13 four-star prospects helping to shape the No. 6 overall recruiting class.

Florida State signed the ninth-ranked class in 2013 and they had the No. 2 ranked recruiting class the previous year in 2012.

Cook is one of four FSU commits who will be playing the Under Armour All-America game Thursday at 4 PM on ESPN.
