With the NFL draft completed and the undrafted free agents signed the next step in the process is for the rookies to select their NFL jersey numbers. Over the last few days teams have started to update their rosters and announce the jersey numbers of their new players. Here are the released number for the former Seminoles drafted or signed over the weekend:
Kelvin Benjamin: No. 13, Carolina Panthers
Lamarcus Joyner: No. 20, St. Louis Rams
Telvin Smith: No. 50, Jacksonville Jaguars
Devonta Freeman: No. 33, Atlanta Falcons
Kenny Shaw: No. 15, Cleveland Browns
Chad Abram: No. 40b, Detroit Lions (He is listed as 44b because he is not the only player on the team with the number)
Bryan Stork: No. 66, New England Patriots
Timmy Jernigan: No. 97, Baltimore Ravens
Terrence Brooks: No. 33, Baltimore Ravens
Greg Reid: No. 39, St. Louis Rams ( he was signed earlier this offseason after working out at FSU’s pro day)
Numbers were not released for Christian Jones (Bears) and James Wilder Jr. (Bengals), but both players are listed on the teams’ official releases. Defensive tackles Jacobbi McDaniel and Demonte McAllister tweeted Sunday that they signed with the Browns and Seahawks respectively, but neither player was listed on the teams’ official releases so I am not sure what their status is.
Brooks tweeted out a picture of his new jersey shortly after receiving it.

Brooks wore number 31 in college, but in Baltimore the number already belongs to safety Omar Brown.
I like 33 but I love that 31…. — Terrence Brooks (@_Showtime31) May 13, 2014
James Wilder Jr. sent out a picture of himself in the Bengals’ locker room.
