The Florida State Seminoles look to finish off the 2011 season on a positive note thursday night and use the Champs Sports Bowl match-up against Notre Dame as a spring board towards the 2012 season. The Noles come in ranked 6th in the nation in total defense, giving up an average of 274 yards per game. FSU also brings in the number 2 ranked rush defense giving up an average of 82 yards per game. Only Alabama (74.9) is ahead of the Seminoles in rush defense.
FSU’s pass defense which ranks 19th in the nation ( 192.8) will have the challenge of trying to slow down the Irish offense that is led by Michael Floyd who is the most prolific wide receiver in Notre Dame football history. One of the players that will be responsible for slowing down Floyd is Seminoles senior defensive back Mike Harris. Check out what Harris had to say about going up against Floyd and the Irish passing game.
