Florida State’s President Eric J. Barron wrote a letter to the student body and it was posted on Seminoles.com. Here’s what it said:
Dear FSU Students:
For any current student who wishes to attend Florida State’s last home basketball game this season on Wednesday, March 26th at 7pm, I would like to pay for the first 5,000 students who wear garnet to the game.
Why? – because I want to send our team to the NIT finals at Madison Square Garden knowing what FSU support really means. Further, over the summer, renovations will take place at the Tucker Center, including seat replacement. If everyone wears garnet, we will have a good sense of what an all-garnet Tucker Center will look like next Fall. The Tucker Center will never look the same.
Bring your student ID to the North student entrance at the Tucker Center (just like normal) and wear garnet and we will see just how loud the war chant can be.
