Seminole fans, the 2013 FSU Spring Game Weekend is finally upon us! The Florida State spring game has transformed from what is essentially a glorified scrimmage into a weekend of events and fun for the whole family.
The weekend kicks off tonight at 5pm with an opportunity to meet players and coaches on the field of Doak Campbell Stadium before walking with them and head coach Jimbo Fisher to the Unconquered Statue on the edge of Langford Green for the lighting of the spear ceremony.
The Friday Night Block Party in downtown Tallahassee also kicks off at 5pm and includes live music, the marching chiefs, a food truck rally and plenty of activities for the kids.
Saturday is the main event. Kickoff is at 2pm and seating is general admission. Parking is free and lots open at 8am for all of you tailgating enthusiasts.
For those of you heading to Tallahassee for the weekend, have a safe trip and enjoy the experience. If you are staying home, you can also enjoy the Noles anywhere you are on ESPN3 using your laptop, tablet or smartphone. (You can also hook your laptop to an HD TV via HDMI cable and enjoy the game that way) A rebroadcast will air on ESPNU later in the weekend, but here is the link for the game anyway. Enjoy.
For more detailed information on the weekend’s events, check out this link from Seminoles.com. There is a schedule of events for the entire weekend as well as a campus parking map. Go Noles!
