White Plans To Stay At UF In Any Capacity

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Brian White expects to be at Florida next season, regardless of what job title he holds.

White, the team’s running backs coach and interim offensive coordinator, says he wouldn’t have any harsh feelings if coach Will Muschamp hires someone else to replace Charlie Weis.

Weis left to take the head coaching job at Kansas earlier this month, and Muschamp tabbed White to call plays against Ohio State in the Gator Bowl on Jan. 2.

Speaking for the first time since the change, White said Tuesday he doesn’t plan to make any changes to Weis’ offensive schemes and expressed confidence in his “abilities to coach football.”

Muschamp, who interviewed Jacksonville University head coach Kerwin Bell for the offensive coordinator position last week, says White will be considered for the job.
