Gators’ Tyler Murphy Shows Poise

Gators_Tyler_Murphy_2013University of Florida football fans know junior quarterback Tyler Murphy for what he’s done on the field.

Murphy took over for the injured Jeff Driskel in the first quarter against Tennessee on Sept. 21, without a college pass attempt to his name. He has since led the 17th-ranked Gators to a 3-0 SEC record and 4-1 overall record entering Saturday’s game at No. 10 LSU (5-1, 2-1).

Murphy is third in the SEC in pass efficiency and has turned the ball over only twice. He’s passed for two touchdowns and run for two and has 665 yards of total offense. Murphy has led the team on six scoring drives of 75 yards or longer.
