A.C. Leonard Leaving Gators

HOOVER, Ala. — Florida tight end A.C. Leonard, who in April pleaded no contest to a charge of misdemeanor battery stemming from an altercation with his live-in girlfriend, is leaving the program, coach Will Muschamp said Wednesday.

Muschamp said he met with Leonard on Tuesday and the two decided it would be best if Leonard transferred. Muschamp had suspended Leonard following his February arrest, but allowed him to return to the team March 26 and participate in the last part of spring practice.
