Freshman quarterback Christian Hackenberg highlights today’s Penn State football headlines. The freshman, who ranks third in the Big Ten in passing, did a conference call with reporters yesterday, five days after throwing for 262 yards and a touchdown in a 34-31 loss to UCF.
Quarterbacks guru George Whitfield Jr. talked about Hackenberg to the Philadelphia Daily News and made comparisons to Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck. Hackenberg, has similar size and all-around ability, Whitfield said, and could be a “monster.”
