The senior suffered a foot injury in the Sept. 28 loss to ECU, then sat out the Oct. 5 loss to Virginia Tech. During the bye week, Renner was confident he would be back for this Saturday’s game against Miami after seeing his streak of 29 straight starts snapped.
His head coach, Larry Fedora, punctuated that confidence by stating Monday that Renner will “definitely” start the conference tilt.
Fedora’s decision to name Renner as the starter again comes after a week in which Renner had worked exclusively with the first-team offense.
