Alabama running back Altee Tenpenny was pulled over for a broken licence plate light during spring break but he soon learned he was in a bit more trouble. Tenpenny was charged for possession of a controlled substance after police searched his car and found 2.1 grams of marijuana.
According to multiple reports, Tenpenny is scheduled to appear in court on April 10th. The court date is schedule for a day that is in between Alabama spring practices.
It is not expected Tenpenny was going to compete for a starting job this fall for the Crimson Tide, but he certainly is a valuable player at the position.
There has been no statement from Alabama, but we can expect a suspension of some sort at some point, if he’s is found guilty.
