College Basketball Saturday: What to Watch
March as officially begun and with that, college basketball action gets exciting. Here’s what to watch today.
No. 11 Cincinnati at UConn, Sat. 12:00 p.m.
This could be one of the most intriguing games of the weekend. Cincinnati is a physical team that can pound the offense. UConn doesn’t have much size up front so they could struggle a bit.
No. 7 Louisville at No. 21 Memphis, Sat. 2:00 p.m.
Louisville knocked off Cincinnati last weekend and no they’ll head to Memphis to try and for revenge. It will be a battle between two of the most under-appreciated guards in college basketball.
No. 4 Syracuse at No. 12 Virginia, Sat. 4:00 p.m.
This is the biggest ACC game to happen all season and Virginia currently holds a one game lead over the Orange in the ACC standings. A win by the Cavaliers would clinch the outright regular season title.
No. 10 Saint Louis at VCU, Sat. 6:00 p.m.
The Rams have lost a couple games recently and they struggle to score when they are forced into a half-court game. But if VCU can force some turnovers and play explosively, they’ll have a chance.
Minnesota at No. 16 Michigan, Sat. 6:00 p.m.
Michigan almost lost to Purdue Wednesday night and Minnesota is coming off of a big win over Iowa at home. The Gophers are going to have to find a way to slow down Nik Stauskas and Caris LeVert.
Stanford at No. 3 Arizona, Sun. 8:00 p.m.
Stanford is in a good spot because they could easily earn themselves a tournament bid, but if Arizona continues to play like they have the last two games, the Wildcats aren’t getting beaten by anyone.
No. 5 Kansas at Oklahoma State, Sat. 9:00 p.m.
There is plenty of intrigue heading into this game, but Kansas has already clinched the conference and Oklahoma State is 6-9 in league play.
