This marks Bosh’s ninth time being selected as an All-Star, and his seventh time as a reserve. In his previous seven All-Star games (he was selected as a reserve in 2009 but did not play due to injury), Bosh has averaged 11.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists while shooting 50.7 percent from the field. Bosh will be joining teammates LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, who were both named as starters following the fans vote, on the team for the fourth consecutive year.

Earlier this season, he scored 31 points vs. the Los Angeles Lakers on January 23, his 12th 30-point game as a member of the HEAT, improving Miami’s record to a perfect 12-0 when he eclipses the 30-point mark. He shot a perfect 9-of-9 from the field at Orlando on January 4, tying for the most makes without a miss during a single game in team history. Bosh earned Player of the Week honors for games played Monday, December 23, through Sunday, December 29 after posting a 37-point, 10-rebound double-double at Portland on December 28, a game in which he hit the game-winning three-point basket with 0.5 seconds remaining, giving Miami a 107-106 victory. Additionally, he shot at least 50 percent from the field in 10-straight games from December 10-28, tying for the longest such streak of his career.
Among league leaders this season, Bosh ranks 10th in field goal percentage (.540) and tied for 34th in blocks per game (1.00).
