Cavs Sign Kyrie Irving To Extension
Kyrie Irving signed a five-year maximum contract extension with the Cavaliers worth $90 million, even though there were rumors that he was wanted out of Cleveland. Owner Dan Gilbert tweeted the news early Tuesday morning.
Gilbert, Cavs GM David Griffin, new coach David Blatt along with other team officials traveled to Irving's home in New Jersey and presented him with the offer shortly after midnight. Irving wasted no time in agreeing to terms shortly after the deal was presented.
