Can The Lightning Contain Islanders Tavares

[1]TONIGHT’S MATCHUP
The Lightning will kick off a three game home stretch tonight against the New York Islanders at the Tampa Bay Times Forum…Following their three-game stand, the Bolts will hit the road for three straight contests…Tonight’s matchup is the second of three meetings between the two clubs, and lone game at the Times Forum…The Lightning dropped the first meeting on Jan. 21 at Nassau Coliseum, 4-3, against the Islanders…After allowing the game’s first four goals, the Lightning stormed back with three third period tallies but their comeback fell just short…There were 24 penalty minutes handed out in the first second of the hockey game which involved two fights…Steven Stamkos, Cory Conacher and Martin St. Louis each collected two points in the loss.

TONIGHT’S STORYLINES
Tampa Bay will be looking to continue their home dominance against the NY Islanders…The Lightning have won two straight games against New York on home ice and have earned a point in 13 of their past 14 games at the Times Forum (10-1-3)…Steven Stamkos is on a five-game point streak against the Islanders dating back to last season, notching five goals and three assists during that span… Stamkos netted two goals and added an assist the last time the Islanders visited Tampa Bay…Martin St. Louis is currently on a fourgame point streak against New York, tallying two goals and four assists during the streak…Anders Lindback recorded one of his two career shutouts against the Islanders on Dec. 13, 2010 (28 saves).
