Cam Newton: I’m Not 100 Percent Yet
The Carolina Panthers and their QB Cam Newton may have something to worry about for the start of the season. Newton had ankle surgery in March and is stressing how he isn’t 100 percent.
“I can’t stress enough that I’m not 100 percent yet,” said Newton, who had ankle surgery in March. “It’s just going to take treatment and time.”
Newton has been bothered by his ankle for years and the surgery was meant to help it stabilize for long term purposes. However the Panthers and Newton are hopeful that he will be good to go when the season starts in six weeks but as of now he is needing to get the treatment done to help with the flexibility of the foot. Coach Ron Rivera isn’t too concerned and said that Newton should be back into work shape soon.
