Bulls Celebrate Huge Comeback Win
Wednesday night?s match up against George Mason ended in a miraculous way. USF's?Corey Allen Jr. shot a 10-foot jump shot with 2 seconds left on the clock to seal the Bulls win, 68-66.
Allen celebrated 14 of his team-high 19 points in the 2nd half and scored 6 of USF?s final eight points. The Bulls trailed by 17 in the second half but somehow, they were able to gain extra momentum to not only catch up, but win.
It?s safe to say that Allen deserves MVP of this game. In the final 3 minutes of the game, George Mason had tied it up. With a timeout call made by Coach Stan Heath, the Bulls turned things around and it was Allen who stepped it up a notch.
Heath agrees that Allen was the winning weapon of the game. He says that this game will go into the books as one of the great all-time comebacks. His Bulls are now 5-2 overall and 2-0 on the road for the first time in seven years.
Next up, USF hosts Alabama on Saturday at 9 PM.
