Bucs Training Camp Position Battles: Offensive Line
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have their first training camp practice one week from today, and big questions continue to linger over the status of the offensive line. Will Pro Bowl guard Carl Nicks be able to participate after spending minicamp on the sideline? If he can’t, will rookie Kadeem Edwards be able to step into Nicks’ shoes?
Will surprise minicamp performer Patrick Omameh continue to get first-team reps at right guard and emerge as the starter after camp? And where do veterans Oniel Cousins and Jamon Meredith stand?
Who will back up offensive tackles Demar Dotson and Anthony Collins? Can Kevin Pamphile grow into a swing-tackle backup role despite being raw and having minimal playing experience? The Bucs believe he can, but the question isn’t if…it’s when. Can he do it here in this training camp?
