Bucs Safety Dashon Goldson Won’t Be Suspended
Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Dashon Goldson won’t be suspended for a hit on Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Jaron Brown, according to the NFL league offices.
Goldson and the Bucs were given a 10-yard unnecessary roughness penalty for the hit, in which he came crashing into Brown as he went out of bounds on a 19-yard catch, setting up Jay Feely’s game-winning field goal.
League executive Merton Hanks is currently investigating the hit to determine if it warrants a fine. Goldson now has 16 personal fouls since 2009 and has already paid $130,000 in fines this year.
“I’m just sitting here, playing hard, and trying to get a win for my football team,” Goldson said after Sunday’s 13-10 loss to the Cardinals.
“We’re 0-3…0-4 now. I’m trying to get a win. I don’t know what they want me to do in that situation.”Bucs Safety Dashon Goldson Won't Be Suspended by Jenna Laine
