Bucs Rookies Report and Should Mike Williams Stay Off Social Media?
Will second-round pick Johnthan Banks emerge as the starter opposite Darrelle Revis and if so, can he hold his own lining up opposite the superstar corner?
How has quarterback Mike Glennon progressed in understanding the playbook?
Is running back Mike James grasping concepts like pass protection to where he’s capable of backing up Doug Martin?
What are the team’s plans for using defensive end Steven Means, a pass rushing specialist out of Buffalo, and former Michigan State defensive end William Gholston?
I also talked to Ryan about wide receiver Mike Williams. He appears to be a little emotional lately, based on some of the things he’s posted on Twitter and Instagram.
While I think social media can be a nice outlet for players and a way to connect with fans, Williams needs to take a few days off, at least while the team tries to work out a new deal for him.
The last thing anybody wants is for the team to start questioning the emotional stability of a player who, for the most part, has been a model player in Tampa, with the exception of a DUI arrest in 2010, in which charges were dropped because Williams’ blood alcohol level was below 0.08 and his urinalysis came back clean.
