The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced this morning the re-signing of wide receiver Tiquan Underwood.
A Rutgers product who worked with the team in two previous stints, Underwood showed some natural chemistry during camp with quarterback Mike Glennon when the two played with the second-team offense.
Unfortunately for Underwood, that chemistry didn’t translate into preseason games where he caught fives passes for 57 receiving yards, but was let go a day after the Bucs had made final cuts.
Underwood didn’t survive 53-man roster cuts last year either, but was brought back in late September, seeing action in 14 games with 28 catches for 425 yards and two touchdowns.
In another roster move, the Bucs signed tight end Matt Veldman to the practice squad.
