Bucs Practice for First Time with Lovie Smith
While most NFL teams won't start practicing for a couple weeks, coach Lovie Smith and his Buccaneers get a head start since he's starting his first year as coach in Tampa Bay.
According to Buccaneers.com, the team hit the field on April 7th, but because they were in Phase 1 of the delineated league schedule, on-field work was limited to conditioning, with only the strength and conditioning staff members allowed on the field with the players.
The Buccaneers will take full advantage of the CBA-mandated offseason program this week, camping on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with coaches on the field.
