Bucs’ Depth Chart: Surprises and Question Marks
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released their unofficial depth chart Tuesday and there were some surprises and question marks that we noticed right away.
Before you get too hot and bothered over this depth chart, keep in mind that this is very unofficial and things can change. Coach Lovie Smith mentioned in his press conference after practice that the NFL asks them to create a depth chart, so they did. He said not to think much of it all.
But, we still want to talk about certain positions that could change and others that seem to fit just right. Bucs Insider Jenna Laine and I go over the wide receiver position, the questions at the offensive line, and others that were a little shocking.
In terms of the offensive line, we comment on what Smith said about the talent he has.
“We like the prospects. We don’t have a lot of players at the positions that have started a lot of games. We have young talent at the line. You guys see them down there,” Smith said at Monday’s press conference.
Something we also took note of was the tight end position and where rookie Austin Seferian-Jenkins will end up.
