Bruins: Leading Candidate For Stephane Robidas
While there has been the same set of defenseman names associated with the Bruins leading up to the NHL trade deadline on Wednesday, there are other players surfacing with less than 48 hours to find a trade partner. Dallas Stars defenseman Stephane Robidas is one of the more risky, but intriguing names on the trade market, and one NHL exec told CSNNE.com on Monday that the 36-year-old veteran “will be moved” prior to the 3 p.m. deadline.
Another benefit to trading for a rental in Robidas: the cost of something in the neighborhood of a second round pick would be significantly less than New York Islanders defenseman Andrew MacDonald, who is expected to be the top defenseman on the trade market.
