Martin Brodeur said he has not been asked to waive his no-trade clause yet. But with Wednesday’s 3 p.m. ET NHL trade deadline looming, the New Jersey Devils goaltender’s future remains unclear.
Canada’s TSN, however, reported Monday night that Brodeur has submitted a list to general manager Lou Lamoriello of eight-to-nine teams he’d waive his no-trade clause to go to.
“I don’t know,” Brodeur replied when asked if he’ll be a Devil once the deadline is over after making 20 saves in his team’s 4-3 victory over the Detroit Red Wings Tuesday night at the Prudential Center. “I had some good conversations with Lou about what I want to do for the rest of the year and maybe next.
