Brent Grimes 'On Track' With Dolphins
Miami Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes continues to show he might be the team's best offseason acquisition, ahead of wide receiver Mike Wallace, the $60 million man, and defensive end Dion Jordan, who the Dolphins selected with the No. 3 pick in the draft.
The diminutive Grimes (5-foot-9), who missed 15 games with Atlanta last season after suffering an Achilles injury, recorded an interception to stop Houston's game-opening drive in the Dolphins' 24-17 loss at Reliant Stadium.
"He kind of plays bigger than he is in terms of his stature," coach Joe Philbin said.
Grimes read the play and jumped the route, picking off quarterback Matt Schaub's pass that was intended for wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
