Braves_Paul_Janish_2013Atlanta Braves infielder Paul Janish suffered a broken nose in a weight-lifting accident on Friday but said it hasn’t prevented him from playing. Janish has yet to appear in the first four games of the Braves division series. He is the only backup infielder on the Braves playoff roster, though Gerald Laird could play third base in a bind.

Janish said he was lifting weights when a 45-pound barbell popped off a squat rack and hit him in the face.
