Dan Uggla Works On Implementing Adjustments
Braves second baseman Dan Uggla opened some eyes during Spring Training when he said he had set a goal to strike out fewer than 120 times this season.
Considering Uggla has averaged 162 strikeouts over the past seven seasons, that might be an unrealistic goal. But this season’s early results indicate Uggla is at least trending in the right direction.
He’s only hitting .200 through his first 20 PA, but manager Fredi Gonzalez doesn’t think this is indicative of the quality of the at-bats Uggla has been having in the early season.
