Angels Looking For Multiyear Extension With Mike Trout
The Los Angeles Angels are aiming to reach a multiyear contract extension with outfielder Mike Trout, according to Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times.
According to the report, the new deal ”is expected to make Trout one of baseball’s highest-paid players.” Trout, 22, wouldn’t be eligible for arbitration until 2015.
In his second season, Trout hit .323 with 27 home runs, drove in 97 runs, and led the American League in walks and runs scored.
