Alex Burrows Hit In Face With Puck
Vancouver Canucks forward Alex Burrows was struck in the face when teammate Chris Tanev attempted to clear the puck midway through the second period of their 3-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday.
Burrows played in the third period, but it was later revealed that he suffered a broken jaw, based on a report from TEAM 1040 and verified by TSN’s Bob McKenzie and Sportsnet’s Dan Murphy.
Alex Burrows only has 3 assists and no goals for the Vancouver Canucks in 17 games. He has been a major disappointment for the Canucks this season and is pointless in the last eight games.
