Alabama Football Player Out with Torn ACL
Alabama cornerback Eddie Jackson got some bad news after he injured his knee in a Saturday scrimmage. According to ESPN.com, an MRI determined that Jackson has a torn ACL.
Right now, the injury will prevent Jackson from playing for the remainder of spring practice. A torn ACL is a serious injury and it can leave a player out for up to a year. Luckily for him, there have been faster recoveries.
The loss of Jackson will be a hard hit for the Crimson Tide. Head coach Nick Saban has said that Jackson was one of the top players on the roster and he was expected to be a strong candidate for a starting job in the defensive line-up as well.
Needless to say, his absence will leave a big hole in the depth outlook for Alabama.
