A.J. Ellis’ Rehab Is “Ahead of Schedule”

Although Los Angeles Dodgers catcher A.J. Ellis was expected to miss 4-6 weeks following his April 8th knee surgery, he has resumed doing baseball activities and, according to Steve Dilbeck of the Los Angeles Times [1], “appears ahead of schedule.”

Ellis wasn’t able to run at full speed when he tried recently, so he’s not that far ahead of schedule, but a minor-league rehab assignment could be around the corner.

However, this is the second knee surgery for Ellis and he is keenly aware of the need to get his rehab right.
