Pacers [2]The Indiana Pacers get to start our weekly power rankings atop the NBA, a first for the franchise. But whether they’ll still be there when it counts in June is another matter.

Here are the top 3 ranked teams after this week:

1. Indiana (5-0) – Undefeated after five games for the first time since the days of the ABA, the Pacers aren’t counting on getting much out of the sidelined Danny Granger, out another week or two with a calf injury.

2. San Antonio (4-1) – There’s been no post-Finals hangover for the Spurs, who make their one trip of the season into the Garden on Sunday afternoon.

3. Golden State (4-1) – Stephen Curry couldn’t even make it through a week of the season before he got hurt. That’s what is preventing this team from being a real contender in the West.
