U.S. general manager David Poile hasn’t been overly coy about his decision-making process. He has said the defensive selection pool has been narrowed down to 12 players, which is four more than they can take. Additionally, Poile said there are six goalies left in the running for the three spots on the final roster. The forward group has about seven spots locked in stone per previous comments from Poile.
